His office is in the town center of Rethymnon in the main street, on the 3rd floor of the house of the Piraeus Bank (former Bank of Cyprus). It includes two treatment rooms which are equipped in accordance with the latest state of the art.

Afterwards he worked at the Solihull Hospital in England until 1989, and was an Overseas Fellow of The British Orthopaedic Association from 1992 to 2012.

From 1989 on he built up the orthopaedic department at the town hospital of Rethymnon, and worked as its head for 30 years until retiring end of 2018.

Since then he runs a private practice downtown Rethymnon.

Mrs. Makrydaki is a lawyer with a focus on real estate law. She graduated from the University of Macerata (Italy) and speaks English and Italian.

Mr. Archontakis, the managing director of HOMEland is working for 15 years in Crete real estate industry and has a long experience in selling properties and project managing.

Mr. Paterakis is working for almost 20 years in the insurance field in Crete. In 2016 he opened his own insurance office and represents today more than 30 well-known insurance companies.

The insurance office by the small square in the Giamboudaki street is open Monday to Friday in the morning from 8:30 am until 2:00 pm, and in the afternoon also (except Wednesday) from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Mr. Papadakis graduated from the University of Athens. He and his assistants speak in total 7 languages.

The pharmacy is in the center of Rethymnon's hotel suburb of Adelianos Campos opposite to the hotel "Adele Beach". Parking in front of and behind the house.

Mr. Stefanakis graduated from the University of Ferrera in Italy. He is being supported by two chemist's assistants.

The pharmacy is by the exit of the village square of Pigi above the bay of Rethymnon, opposite to the local KEP office. You can park your car there or in the village square.

Mr. Nikoloudakis has been working as pharmacist for more than thirty years. You can find his pharmacy close to the "Square of the Unknown Soldier" in Rethymnon.

Besides the usual medication and cosmetics, you also can find homeopathic remedies in the pharmacy. The staff can help you in English, Romanian and German language.

She works in tourism for many years, mainly at the reception desks of several big hotels.

In the evenings and on weekends, she offers other CIC members an introduction to the Greek language at home or in sociable groups.

She mainly does repairs and changes, not only to clothing but also to curtains, linen etc., and she speaks good English.

It is located in Rethymnon's suburb of Platanias, by the Old National Road to Heraklion opposite to the "Pavlakis" supermarket. A parking ground is just next door.

Mr. Karamanis speaks English, German, French, some Swedish and Russian, and of course Greek. The menu therefore does not only include local dishes but a number of international specialties as well.

In summertime the large sliding glass doors are opened to give access to the terrace, which is roofed by a pergola with climbing vines and gives room to another 50 seats.

The cuisine is praised throughout Rethymnon. In order to meet the increasing demand, Haris has glazed the terrace on the street front: You can sit there very comfortably even in winter, unless it should be storming and snowing.

In 1970, his father took over the coffee house and extended it by a taverna, and in 1994 they doubled the floor space by an annex on the rear front. Behind it there is today also a shady terrace, and in front of the taverna by the Old National Road there is an also shady bar.

Food is cooked in accordance with traditional recipes and using natural ingredients. The wine is from local production as well.

When heading towards the big new church you will find a large parking ground just before it. Immediately before the parking a street splits off to the right and down to the sea.

On the next corner again turn right into a narrow lane. After some meters opens a parking lot, and the il Camino is located straight opposite.

Mr. Roussakis used to live in Montreal, the capitol of francophone Canada for 27 years. Today he runs an Italian restaurant in Crete which is i.a. known for the English national dish Fish & Chips.

So it is not a surprise that he became a member of the Cretan International Community.

Goat, chicken and vegetable are from his own production. We tried them on the 17th of April, 2016 and were very satisfied.

When coming from Rethymnon City via Agia Irini, turn right and up before the village center by the main sign post of the village.

When coming from the hotel suburbs, pass the village center and turn left and up after the bus stop.

The taverna is in the Old Town in the street that runs from the Rimondi Fountain to the Megali Porta, roughly 50 meters from the fountain on the right hand side.

Taverna Dimitris is in Sfakaki which is one of the eastern suburbs of the town of Rethymnon, not far from the beach right opposite the highway exit of Sfakaki (in direction of Rethymnon). A bus stop is just in front of the house.

At Dimitris' you eat meat as psistaria means grill house. They serve pork, lamb, chicken, sausages, meatballs and - not forgetting! - Koukouretsi, the famous Cretan tripe spit.

In winter, you sit comfortably in the front dining room with central heating, and in summer on the large covered terrace behind the house.

Taverna Vatania is located by the east end of the beach road of Rethymnon City, just before the "Grecotel Plaza Spa".

Host and CIC member Vakis Karahalios specialized in Mezedes (starters). The taverna's second focus is on pizzas.

In winter, you sit comfortably in the indoor dining room, and in summer on the large covered terrace by the beach road.

It has a living area with an open fireplace and an open-plan kitchen, as well as two separate bedrooms. Outside there are terraced gardens, a BBQ facility and a swimming pool with a sun terrace.

The equipment includes air conditioning, satellite TV and Internet access (WiFi).

6 kms north of Agia Triada on the coast there is Rethymnon's hotel suburb of Adelianos Campos with its shops, bars, discotheques and watersport facilities.

In front of the entry there is a closed inner yard which is partly roofed. Behind the house there is a terrace with a pergola and a barbecue.

Pigi is a small, peaceful traditional Greek village above the bay of Rethymnon. Inside the village there are some groceries, two bakeries, two butchers', kafenions and tavernas as well as a pharmacy.

The minimum rental duration is 5 weeks. The apartment is being let out exclusively to long-term holidaymakers, or e.g. to persons who work in the area of Rethymnon during the tourism season.
